We are so thrilled to share Sabrina and Yishai’s idyllic beach side wedding at the Montage, Laguna Beach, which was recently featured on Brides!

Sabrina and Yishai are such a fun-loving couple, with fantastic taste, and we had the best time bringing their wedding to life. With only three short months to plan their Memorial Day Weekend wedding, we immediately sought to find the perfect location that embodied their laid-back vibe while still maintaining an eye on impeccable service and fantastic food & beverage. After scouting up the coast in Sonoma and Napa, and Cabo San Lucas, we ultimately decided that the Montage Laguna offered the perfect combination of luxury and relaxation to host their celebration.

We worked alongside Prim and Pixie to design a custom invitation suite that evoked the sunset that the California Coast is so famous for. We brought in muted tones, soft textures and a rattan liner to complete the look.

Hand-stitched menus in muted tones were personalized with each guest’s name.

A welcome bag filled with the couple’s favorite things: dark chocolate, turkish tea towels, custom matches and candles, and Blue Bottle Coffee, as well as a hangover kit were gifted to each guest upon check in to the resort.

The bride wore a strapless, embroidered Marchesa gown that fit perfectly with the surroundings.

Holly Flora crafted a loose bouquet filled with buttercup, peach and blush florals and dried grasses.

Sabrina and Yishai’s dog, Sufi, stole the show as the flower pup!

The couple’s first look overlooking the Pacific Ocean was a beautifully quiet, private moment.

The chuppah was a lush structure crafted with baby’s breath, dried palm leaves and natural pampas grass. The aisle featured botanical hedging, adorned with pampas grass and palm leaves, and we juxtaposed the space with natural wood chairs, and a table adorned with a crisp white linen tablecloth, topped with a petit arrangement in a handmade terra cotta vase–a natural fit to the ocean setting with a boho twist.

As the evening chill crept in, Sabrina opted to don a leather Iro jacket with her wedding dress.

Even with rain on the horizon, the bride and groom were determined to keep the ceremony outside, so we passed out over-sized umbrellas and cozy blankets to keep guests warm and dry!

The reception featured a clear tent, adorned with an array of rattan and woven light fixtures with natural grass accents, and a wash of warm lighting.

Raw wood bars and back bar shelves topped with lush floral arrangements and etched wood signage capped off the space.

Guests were seated in rattan and wood bistro chairs at two long kings’ tables, topped with crisp white linen tablecloths, and an array of loose, airy sunset-toned grasses and florals in handmade terra cotta and stone containers and nude and wood candles and a peach stone charger with a personalized hand-stitched, sunset-inspired menu card.

The organic florals truly brought the look to life.

We worked with the culinary team at the Studio Restaurant and the Montage Hotel to craft a fine dining experience for our guests complete with wine pairings.

As the sun set on the coast, warm lighting provided the perfect ambiance for dinner and an intimate setting for family and friends to make toasts.

Due to the rain, we decided to utilize the Studio restaurant for both the cocktail reception and the after party. That space featured a mix of wood, textured linen and rattan furniture, topped with patterned pillows and lush florals.

The pastry chef at the Montage hand-painted a three-tier wedding cake with silver dollar sugar flower accents to mimic the sunset.

We accented the space with select areas of flax drapery and hung wrought iron Moroccan-inspired lanterns from the rafters above the wood plank dance floor, that acted as an extension of the wood flooring featured in the restaurant. An 8-piece band from Bob Gail Music played atop a sisal-covered stage, accented with vintage Persian rugs and backed by flax fabric tiebacks.

Guests partied well into the evening to the sounds of Jump Start by Bob Gail Music and Entertainment playing an eclectic mix of music featuring every genre: oldies, Motown, soul, rock, disco, funk, 80s and 90s, classic rock and contemporary music.
