During this historic time in the world, we have been highlighting ways for people to safely come together to celebrate with their close loved ones. We have always loved putting small and intimate events together that emphasize togetherness but don’t skip the details.
For a recent milestone celebration, two daughters teamed up with us to bring their mother’s 50th birthday to life with a PJ dinner party and movie night!
A backdrop with a whimsical balloon installation in shades of black, gray, silver and rose gold with a custom neon sign was the perfect photo op.
We worked with the teams at R. Jack Balthazar and Bright Event Rentals to create an intimate setting with a modern tablescape filled with bold details, and the perfect view of Los Angeles.
Guests were treated to custom boxes filled with the perfect self-care sleepover goodies and custom-embroidered Eberjey pajama sets to change into for the evening’s festivities.
The team at Prim & Pixie created the custom plexi photo booth props and an over-sized G cake topper for the gradient tiered cake and cupcake tower inspired by textured marble and concrete.
The guests ended the PJ party with a movie night, complete with a fully-stocked concession stand of goodies and individual faux-fur blankets. For more details about this event, check out our latest feature on PartySlate.

For a small Moroccan-inspired birthday celebration in Malibu overlooking the ocean, guests gathered at a long table to toast and celebrate.
In lieu of traditional seating, we brought in one long table and floor-seating with a mix of vintage prints, rattan and weathered woods.
Stringer lights overhead glowed as the sun set over the coast and guests dined on a Mediterranean menu catered by the team at the Peninsula in Beverly Hills.

For an intimate anniversary celebration and vow renewal, we re-created the couple’s wedding with a bit of a thematic Gatsby-inspired twist.
A solo pianist and vocalist serenaded guests and the couple as they walked together, with their family, down the aisle.
A playful black-and-white tablescape with Gatsby-inspired touches set the scene for the intimate group to dine on a re-creation of the couple’s wedding menu.
Bold patterns and stark contrast grounded the table, while whimsical elements, soft white draping and warm lighting softened the overall look.
The couple renewed their wedding vows in front of their family and closest friends under an arch inspired by their wedding day florals.
After dinner, guests were treated to a mini casino and choreographed dance routine that evoked the Gatsby era.
Even a small group can have a dance party! Guests danced and lounged until the early morning hours!
